Fiery red in colour and taste, these top quality Calabrian 'peperoncini' have been left to dry on the vine in the Mediterranean sunshine to give a more potent heat and fruitier taste. Calabria is one of Europe's main producers and consumers of peperoncino which is considered 'medium hot' on the Scoville Scale which measures the heat of chillies worldwide.
Add them to sauces, cooked vegetables or infuse them in olive oil. Use them whole, chopped, crushed, ground or rehydrated to add vibrant colour and wicked heat to all of your dishes! Perfect in a late night "Aglio, Olio, Peperoncino" dish of spaghetti (garlic, oil and chilli).

Our producer - Artibel
Based in Belmonte on the Tyrhennian coast of Calabria, Artibel is an ancient family-run company whose history goes back to the beginning of the twentieth century when they were specialists in building dry stone walls. By the middle of the 1900's they had started to cultivate the fertile Calabrian land and specialised in fig delicacies and chilli products.
There is a strong and emotional bond between the family and its land which translates into great passion for their work and for traditions. They successfully create top quality products with healthy and genuine raw materials using the same simple and natural processes as generations gone by.
