Weight: 30g

This soothing and relaxing olive leaf tea, flavoured with lemon and wild mint has been crafted from the finest hand-picked leaves from Bimbi and Spencer's olive groves in Abruzzo. An ideal replacement for normal black tea, their organic, olive leaf tea is 100% natural and produces a gently mellow, pleasantly herbal brew that's really healthy and ideal for the whole family. It contains more anti-oxidants than green tea and is great for the body's immune system. It doesn't contain any caffeine or tanin, so doesn't stain at all.

Olive leaves have been used for centuries as a natural anti-bacterial agent and to treat fevers and malaria, more recently they have been recognised as a powerful, natural anti-oxidant. Recent research has shown that drinking olive leaf tea on a regular basis helps to support the body's natural defences and can even guard against the common cold.

How to prepare olive leaf tea: Simply steep for a few minutes in boiling water for a delicate, soft, smooth and very satisying cuppa. For a stronger, more powerful infusion just leave the leaves for a little longer. Add lemon or honey if desired to enhance the flavour. Can also be chilled and enjoyed over ice.

Organic olive leaves, dried lemon, wild mint.

Our producer - Mirabilia

Bimbi and Kim Evans and their team harvest the leaves of their olive trees to produce both olive oil and this unique tea. Aiming to maximise local resources and provide jobs in an area where less and less rural work is to be found, Mirabilia employ an army of local ladies who love their land and their local traditions and enjoy working together to produce something that they are really proud of.

Not only the tea, hand-picked in their organic groves, but also the packaging, the labels and bags, even the machine that helps weigh and pack the tea, have all been locally sourced as a testament to Mirabilia's unswerving commitment to the area and to the community.
