Nduja & Tropea Onion Patè

Olive Points: 57pts

Price £5.75

Description

Weight: 190g

‘Nduja is cured spreadable Calabrian salami, with herbs, salt and naturally lots of chilli pepper. Bright red in colour with a fiery taste, our ‘Nduja is the real thing, made in Spilinga in the province of Vibo Valentia, the birthplace of this delicacy. Here it has been combined with another Calabrian speciality, the sweet Tropea onion, creating a delicious, punchy spread.

Spread it on bread or bruschetta – it’s even better if warmed up first – why not invest in our authentic hand made ceramic ‘Scalda 'Nduja’ which does the job perfectly?

'Nduja also gives an incredible flavour when you add it to a ‘soffritto’ (lightly fried onions celery and carrot) as the basis of a tomato sauce for pasta or just on its own with the addition of a little of the pasta water. Delicious too on a pizza or alongside medium seasoned cheeses.

Our 'Nduja and Tropea onion spread is made following a traditional Calabrian recipe and naturally contains no additives, preservatives or colourants.
