Alce Nero gluten-free pasta is produced exclusively with corn and rice cultivated in Italy. The recipe has been specially created to give the perfect balance of flavours between white corn, yellow corn and rice. The processing technique means that the pasta has a very similar taste to normal durum-wheat pasta. It holds up to the cooking process excellently, maintaining its original shape and taste. The special shaping process gives the pasta a rough surface, allowing the accompanying sauce to cling to it.

Our Producer - Alce Nero
Alce Nero was started in the 1970’s, when two cooperatives of young Italian farmers decided to undertake a new type of activity: one that would produce wholesome food while respecting the environment. Thus, Alce Nero pioneered the organic revolution, by combining old farming methods with the most advanced research on health and the environment.
Today, the techniques have evolved, but their seal of quality is still based on the simple ingredients that Alce Nero was created from: love of the food, respect of the environment, and banning of synthetic chemical substances.
All Alce Nero products are 100% organic certified by European Union law. This means that for all of their produce: the crop, the land on which it was grown, the factory in which it was processed, as well as the procedures and ingredients used are all organic certified.
