Alce Nero organic Arborio rice, named after the town of Arborio in the Italian region of Piedmont, is grown in Italy following strict regulations on organic farming, which is among the most demanding due to the significant amount of manual work required.

Arborio rice is characterised by short and large pearl white grains, ensuring excellent firmness when cooked, making it ideal for preparing creamy risottos and rice puddings.

The high presence of amylopectin starch is what gives risotto its creamy texture and starchy taste, blending well with other flavours.
