Porcini Mushrooms

Dried Italian Porcini mushrooms (also referred to in English as Ceps) have a unique texture and an incredible aroma and flavour. They are a wonderful ingredient and taste amazing in everything from pasta to risottos, quiches to omelettes and sauces to patés. When dried they retain their distinctive flavour extremely well and are simple to cook with, requiring just a soaking in tepid water for half an hour or so before you use them.

Our Porcini have been hand picked in the beautiful, uncontaminated Sila National Park of Calabria and are classified as 'First Extra Quality'. With dried Porcini mushrooms, a little goes a long way and only a small amount of Porcini are needed for a wonderful flavour.
