Fiat Cremino: The first and original four layered 'Cremino' chocolate is one of Majani's best known products. A velvety alternation of hazelnut and almond it tastes sublime and creamy. Majani created the Cremino for a competition to design a new chocolate to launch Fiat's Tipo 4 in 1911.

Scorza: The Scorza (meaning tree bark in Italian) was the first solid-shaped chocolate ever produced in Italy and was created in 1832 by Majani.  Majani chocolatiers passed the special processing down through generations giving this product its unique consistency, thanks to a blend of four cocoa varieties.

Chocolate Tortellini: The chocolate Tortellino is a delightful tribute to Bologna's best known dish! This mixture of white, milk and dark chocolate tortellini have a delicious outside shell and a sweet, creamy ganache filling.


Cremino: Sugar, hazelnut (22%), almond (21%), cocoa butter, cocoa paste, emulsifier: soya lechithin, vanilla. May contain traces of other nuts & milk.

Scorza: Cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, vanilla. May contain traces of nuts, milk and eggs.

Tortellini: Sugar, whole milk powder, cocoa paste, non-hydrogenated vegetable oil and fat (palm, palm kernel, sunflowercoconut, cocoa, olive), cocoa butter, hazelnuts, cream powder, emulsifier soya lecithin, vanilla.

Majani is one of the oldest and most prestigious chocolate makers in Italy. Established in Bologna in 1796 and listed in the Gold Register among the 150 'Companies that have made Italy', the company is famed for having won the competition to create a chocolate to launch Fiat's Tipo 4 in 1911 - a cremino with 4 layers. 

Majani are one of the few bean-to-bar chocolate producers; their chocolate is produced with the best raw cocoa beans which are roasted in their workshop in Crespellano a small town about 10 miles west of Bologna. Artisans then create all their products using their own traditional recipes from the last 224 years.

Founded by Teresa Majani in 1796 under the name of "Laboratory of Sweet Things".  Its first home was a small artisan workshop next to the Basilica of San Petronio and soon became one of the finest chocolate makers in Europe. Over the years Majani has been honoured with prestigious awards including those on the occasion of the Universal Expositions of Paris (1867 and 1878), Vienna (1873) and Milan (1881). The company became an official supplier of the Royal House of Savoy during the years of the birth of the Kingdom of Italy, and more recently received the plaque "Company that has made the history of Italy".
