Description

Weight: 160g

The FIAT Cremino is Majani’s most popular chocolate and was first created in 1911 when Fiat's founder Giovanni Agnelli had the idea of holding a competition to celebrate the launch of their new luxury car, the Tipo 4. He asked the most important Italian chocolatiers to create a new kind of chocolate for the occasion.

Majani won with their brand new 'Cremino', which unlike the other varieties of cremino on sale in Italy was made of four layers rather than just three. Cremino Fiat is delicious, with two layers of gianduja chocolate and two of hazelnut and almond cream. This gift box contains a mixture of individually wrapped classic cremini bricks (a little longer than the traditional square ones) and a rich dark variety.

Ingredients

Sugar, hazelnuts, almonds, cocoa butter, cocoa paste, whole milk powder, emulsifier soya lechitin, vanilla. May contain traces of pistachios. Gluten Free.

Our Producer

Majani

Established in Bologna in 1796 and listed in the Gold Register among the 150 'Companies that have made Italy', Majani are one of the few bean-to-bar chocolate producers; their chocolate is produced with the best raw cocoa beans which are roasted in their workshop in Crespellano a small town about 10 miles west of Bologna. Artisans then create all their products using their own traditional recipes from the last 224 years.

Founded by Teresa Majani in 1796 under the name of "Laboratory of Sweet Things".  Its first home was a small artisan workshop next to the Basilica of San Petronio and soon became one of the finest chocolate makers in Europe. Over the years Majani has been honoured with prestigious awards including those on the occasion of the Universal Expositions of Paris (1867 and 1878), Vienna (1873) and Milan (1881). The company became an official supplier of the Royal House of Savoy during the years of the birth of the Kingdom of Italy, and more recently received the plaque "Company that has made the history of Italy".
