Our Producer

Civias

In the sunniest and driest part of Sicily, stretched out to the coastal city of Agrigento, cultivating vines has long been an important part of the economy, but not quite as important as the Taccia-Caci sulphur mines, renowned and recounted in local literature. CIVIAS is exploiting the now-defunct underground shafts of the old sulfur mines, with their humid conditions and constant temperatures, for cellaring wine barrels and bottles.

Civias has had the vision necessary for proposing a new concept of quality wines. It has smoothly integrated the traditions of wine-producing with technological and organisational innovation necessary for producing exciting, quality products.
