Chocolate and Sweet Things

We are sure that you will enjoy scrolling through our tempting selection of Italian chocolate and goodies!

Italy is paradise if you have a sweet tooth and every region has its own specialities. Many are seasonal and connected with the main religious festivities such as Panettone for Christmas and Colomba for Easter. We travel all over Italy to discover the best artisanal products. We love Italian figs and we have chosen two of the best artisanal producers of fig delicacies - the Colavolpe family from Calabria and Santomiele from Cilento, both regions where you can find the very best varieties of Italian figs.

There are some wonderful Italian chocolate makers including our own Donna Elvira in the lovely Sicilian city of Modica where they produce award winning gluten and dairy free chocolate (suitable for vegans), which has a coarse, rustic texture and amazing flavour made following an ancient Aztec recipe brought to Sicily during the Spanish domination which began in the XVI century.

We also sell Italian licorice, considered to be the best in the world and we are pleased to offer a choice of organic licorice which has been handmade in the Southern town of Cosenza, from liquorice roots to sweet little tins of pure liquorice flakes.
