Aperol was developed in 1919 by the Barbieri brothers from Padova and the recipe has remained unchanged over the years. Specialists in liqueur production since 1880, they launched Aperol with the revolutionary idea of creating an aperitif with a very low alcohol content – just 11%. Aperol is a perfectly balanced infusion of fruits with herbs and roots. Vibrant orange in colour, it has a unique bitter-sweet and refreshing taste - perfect for a summer evening!
Aperol can be enjoyed on its own, or complemented with small aperitivo plates such as olives, sun-dried tomatoes, Carasau bread and sliced salami.

Our Aperitivo Suggestion
For the perfect Aperol Spritz you will need:
- A bottle of chilled Prosecco
- A bottle of Aperol
- Soda, served from a chilled bottle
- Large wine glasses
- Plenty of ice cubes
- Slices of orange
Fill a large wine glass with ice, add Prosecco followed by Aperol in equal parts, then add a dash of soda water and stir and finally garnish with an orange slice.
