Tuscan Artisan Ricciarelli Biscuits
Ricciarelli are traditional Tuscan soft biscuits made with almond paste and date back to at least the 1500s. A much loved Italian treat, Ricciarelli are shaped like a lozenge and made with just a few essential ingredients - almonds, sugar and egg white. Until just a few decades ago Ricciarelli was a biscuit reserved for Christmas but nowadays are enjoyed any time! Our Ricciarelli are artisanally produced. They are perfect in the evening with a glass of sweet wine or with a cup of coffee or tea.
Presented in a gift box, they also make a lovely present.
Sugar, almonds, pasteurised egg yolk, flower honey, raising agent - ammonium carbonate, natural flavourings - almond, potassium sorbate, cornstarch, may contain traces of other nuts, gluten, milk and soy.
